EOD 6 – Fleeing the light air blob

We’ve spent today dodging squalls and trying hard for some good mileage to outrun the light air that is forecast to fill behind us. Breeze has been good for us – 15-18 knots, so we’ve had some fast conditions for Raku. We’re switching off helming more frequently, and the breeze is expected to lighten this evening so we’re planning to switch back up to the bigger A2.5 when the breeze eases.
We’ve seen some more black fishing balls today, a piece of net :(, and a piece of cardboard.
Cool wildlife sighting today – a wee little flying fish on the transom! First of the trip!
